Pereybere is a beach village situated in the north-west of Mauritius, about 90 minutes drive from SSR International Airport. It is a resort where property rentals are inexpensive, often offering standard budget accommodation and guest houses. The beach is as good, if not better, as Grand Bay, and offers one of the best swimming spots of the island. and is very popular beach among tourists and locals – quite bustling with crowds of young people on the beach, and around the commercial buildings all day long and even at night. There is a large variety of restaurants, fast food counters and pubs nearby. It is not yet the buzz of Grand’Baie, but it may be considered as being the prelude to the night life that may be enjoyed in Grand Bay. Some well-stocked supermarkets are only 5 minutes drive away in Grand’Baie.
