Trou d’Eau Douce is a small village situated in the east of the island, south of Belle Mare, about 45 minutes drive from SSR International Airport. It has developed a lot during the recent years with the growing flow of tourists due to proximity of the idyllic Ile aux Cerfs and the 5-star hotel, One&Only Le Touessrok, which may be seen across the lagoon.

The beautiful white sandy beach runs along a lagoon of turquoise waters safe for swimming and snorkelling. “Ile aux Cerfs” being the most favourite excursion destination for everyone visiting Mauritius, there is a shuttle service taking people to that islet where various nautical activities and sports are available.
